Mahindra Adventure
Website Redesign

Mahindra Adventure is a unique brand that combines the thrill of sports vehicles with the spirit of exploration. Each year, it offers unforgettable experiences ranging from single-day off-road adventures to multi-day expeditions across some of the most stunning landscapes in India and beyond.

About The Project

The Brief

The current website is over a decade old and no longer reflects the dynamic spirit of the brand. We aim to redesign it into a modern, user-friendly platform that is both visually compelling and highly informative. The new website should clearly communicate every event, ensuring users can easily explore, understand, and engage with all offerings.

Challenges

The previous Mahindra Adventure website faced several usability and design challenges that hindered both user engagement and brand perception. Through discussions with users and key stakeholders, it became evident that the platform did not reflect the energy, scale, and reputation of the brand. Key issues included:

  • Duration: 3 months

  • My Role: 80% Ui designer, 20% Ux designer

  • Tools Used: Adobe XD, After Effects.

Result and Impact

Total Organic Visits: 72.8K (Monthly)

  • Users started registering directly through the website, reducing reliance on manual calls.

  • The payment gateway saw increased usage, indicating improved trust and usability.

  • Visitors found it easier to explore upcoming events and navigate the website.

  • Visual appeal and brand storytelling significantly boosted engagement.

  • This project reinforced the power of good design in building trust, enhancing usability, and aligning digital presence with a brand's identity.

Research Process

We successfully conducted one-on-one phone interviews within our tight deadlines. Below are the key findings from the interviews.

This style guide defines the core visual elements of the interface, focusing on consistency and user engagement. It includes button styles, hover effects for activity and blog pages, and a subtle topographic pattern for background texture.

The primary color palette uses bold orange (#f36e20) and dark grey (#232424) to convey energy and contrast.

User Interface

Cluttered and disorganized layout, making navigation difficult.

1

Poor user trust, stemming from outdated design and confusing functionality.

4

Inconsistent content placement, with elements like blogs, galleries, and articles scattered randomly on the homepage.

2

Lack of visual storytelling, with minimal use of impactful imagery to convey the brand’s adventurous spirit.

3

Missing or unclear calls-to-action (CTAs), leading to drop-offs in user interaction.

5

Inefficient booking experience, which lacked clarity and intuitive flow.

6

Event information (upcoming, ongoing, expeditions) buried in small, hard-to-notice tabs.

7

Outdated visual aesthetics, resulting in a website that felt obsolete and disconnected from the brand’s vibrant personality.

8

Guided by the belief that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” we focused on leveraging Mahindra Adventure’s stunning visual content previously underutilized to create a more engaging, emotionally resonant experience.

We streamlined the site by removing unnecessary information and reorganizing the navigation with larger, more intuitive tabs. Key improvements include:

After gathering feedback during the research phase, we created wireframes. As the client needed a quick turnaround, we streamlined our process.

These quotes helped us identify pain points around credibility, content authenticity, and the need for a more intuitive booking experience.

User Insights – What We Heard

“It looks untrustworthy.”

During user interviews, several recurring concerns highlighted the gaps in trust, usability, and visual appeal:

“I don’t feel like sharing this website with others.”

“I prefer calling them directly instead of booking online.”

I am not paying so much money through this site instead i will go to their office

“I’d love to see real photos of people who’ve actually been on these trips.”
